
R.J. (Sam) Berry was Professor of Genetics at University College London 1978-2000. He is a former President of the Linnean Society, the British Ecological Society, the European Ecological Federation, and Christians in Science. He has served as a member of the Human Fertilisation & Embryology Authority, the Natural Environment Research Council, and as a Trustee of the National Museums & Galleries on Merseyside and a Governor of Monkton Combe School for 10 years or so. Besides scientific publications, he is the author of "God and Evolution", "God and the Biologist" and "God's Book of Works". His most recent book is "When Enough Is Enough", a collected series of essays. In 1996, he received the Templeton UK Award for "sustained advocacy of the Christian faith in the world of science".
